Sound Mental Health allows people to think, feel and behave appropriately and function well in all settings. Our mental well-being determines how we make choices, relate to others, handle stress, and affect every aspect of our lives, including our physical health and social life.

Our nation is starting to understand the importance of mental health, however, the progress is slow. Even today, only about 0.06% of our annual budget is allocated to mental health and its care. There is a pronounced correlation between poor mental health and lower socio-economic status. This reflects a major gap in our healthcare sector that requires immediate attention and action.

The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in every 4 individuals struggle with at least one mental health condition that requires attention and treatment. However, recent statistics show that only about 12% of them receive the appropriate and timely care required. People are unable to access mental health care due to several reasons. Some of which could be financial restraints, inability to recognize their condition, difficulty finding appropriate care and professionals, difficulty finding time in their packed schedule, or feeling that their concerns may not be validated.

We at Veda are making an effort to bridge this gap and make mental health care accessible to one and all, irrespective of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status. We aim to address all possible barriers and encourage people to acknowledge their mental status and address it. Our trained Psychiatrists and Psychologists provide a safe, non-judgmental, and unbiased approach to evidence-based therapeutic approaches to deal with mental health concerns and improve mental and overall well-being.
